As may be obvious from my username, I'm a big fan of Lois McMaster Bujold, particularly the Vorkosigan books and those set in the world of the Five Gods. I've just finished reading the new Vorkosigan saga book, Gentleman Jole and the Red Queen, set 3 years after Cryoburn and focusing on Cordelia. I'm not sure what to make of it. Overall I finished it disappointed. It's not the lack of action, I'm more than happy to read books which focus on romance and life challenge, but I felt it all fell a bit flat this time and lacked the usual Bujold wit and light touch. Am I missing something? Anyone else read it yet?
