Sounds like one my daughter would love to read

stewaris · 20/06/2016 21:27

It's such a good bedtime read I now don't need the book as I can recite it by heart that's how much they love it!

beckyinman · 21/06/2016 12:14

Funny and irreverent. Loved it

Great book, even I enjoyed it!

cookie09 · 02/07/2016 12:58

This is a great book. My sons love it. A chicken nugget only diet really reminded me of my twins as they were growing up, they would have nuggets for breakfast if they could. Smashing!

insan1tyscartching · 02/07/2016 13:14

great book, really funny, plenty of laugh out loud moments.

This is a great book for younger independent readers. DS3 found The Jam Doughnut That Ruined My Life hilarious so he was keen to read the next book in the series and it certainly didn't disappoint. The little illustrations were lovely too.

I haven't read it but my DD (8) has. She thought it was funny & exciting, she read it over three evenings. Said she would recommend it to her friends.

Great book, heard my daughters chuckling while reading it, on the bedside cabinet so ready for seconds, highly recommended.

A really funny book , kids loved it and even I laughed out loud

andywedge · 13/07/2016 19:10

Sometimes getting my son to eat can be slightly trickier than lion taming, but one of the things he will eat without a fight are Chicken Nuggets; so this book was pretty much perfect for him. He found it funny that Roman Garstang had to survive a chicken nugget-only diet and is now interested in other Mark Lowery books.

lucyloves · 13/07/2016 19:35

Thanks very much for our copy! We received it yesterday & it's proved very popular! My son is laughing away & is halfway through already!

pancakeswife · 13/07/2016 19:46

Got it for my grandsons and they are thrilled with it, really enjoyed it.

JoCar72 · 13/07/2016 20:18

I've just started reading 'The Chicken Nugget Ambush' with my son and after previously reading Mark Lowery's previous Roman Garstang adventure 'The Jam Doughnut That Ruined My Life' we were both eagerly looking forward to the sequel. So far I'm happy to report we are both giving it a big thumbs up :) My little boy is probably too young to get the more subtle jokes but it's full of slapstick humour too and he loves that. When I'm reading it, the writing style puts me in mind of 'The Inbetweeners' but for much younger kids.

wef1984 · 13/07/2016 22:11

I haven't read it yet but it looks really good, I hope my daughter lets me read it with her.

Only1inthevillage · 14/07/2016 09:08

DS was reading this in bed last night - he was cracking up. Definitely recommended by him.

thriftymrs · 14/07/2016 10:01

This book is so much fun, many laugh out loud moments, perfect for my nephews, I would definitely recommend either to read aloud to younger children or for those of 8-11 who can read independently.

MalteserChick · 14/07/2016 11:06

I'm only about a 3rd the way through the book, but so far I'm finding very amusing and as much as my little 6 month old enjoys listening to me read, I believe in years to come he will love this story x jj x

cathisherwood · 14/07/2016 16:27

Bit too much vomit and pooh for my taste but perhaps that why it appeals so much to my under 10 year olds!
