Mumsnet Bookclub: join here! Membership list and forthcoming book choices

Hi All, I thought it might be an idea to have a thread where we can keep a rolling membership list, a record of forthcoming books and a reminder of when the next book is due.

The current list is below. If you would like to join please cut and paste the list into a new message and add yourself to the bottom - then just turn up to the next "meeting" - that's all there is to it!

We are reading books in order of joining so as each person chooses a book they should delete themselves off the top of the list and add themselves again to the bottom, that way we'll keep rotating.

Sorry, should have put more explanation in!

Someone picks a book (we've decided to do it in order of joining) and we all read it and agree a date to reconvene and discuss it online. The current book is The Water Horse by Julia Gregson, chosen by Rovska but it's being discussed now so you would probably do better to wait until the next meeting.

The next book we are planning to do is The Sea Glass by Anita Shreve, chosen by McDreamy. We haven't yet sorted out a date to reconvene. I will post it here when we do.

Sorry Sauce! I assumed your question about how it worked meant you wanted to join - my fault. Do take yourself off if you aren't interested.

That's okay. Sea Glass is the one I've read but too long ago to make any comment on it but not long enough ago to re-read. I'll wait.

Great organising well done MissGolightly. As for the reviews dates of the books - is a month enough time for everyone to read a book?

I wondered about picking a certain date in the month and that is always book review night.

The first/last day of the month springs to mind. What do you think? Not sure what to do about the next book though - 1st Feb or 1st March?
