Paddington bear and now 2 year old ds does too.

Mr Toad in Wind in the Willows. Perhaps not the greatest role model but I loved him as a child.

We have a lot of 'made up' bed time stories involving an adventurous Jackalope. I am hoping to encourage a love of old myths in the next generation.

I loved Timmy the dog in 'The Famous Five' series. Blyton, rightly, considered him as important as the human amateur sleuths. His tenacity and 'nose' for trouble helped solve many mysteries.

Nighteyes from Robin Hobbs Farseer trilogy from an adult book. Whatamess from a children's book.

Has to be either Winnie the Pooh
Or
Elmer the elephant.

I love Bump the elephant but can't find anything with him on.

It's got to be the Tiger who came to Tea! No question!

Adder from the animals of farthing wood. Always on the outskirts of the group, never quite welcomed by everyone and quite grumpy but true hearted and courageous when it came down to it.

The Maltese cat, first read it when I was about 8 and still love it now. I happen to have a pony who reminds me very much of the cat

I've loved Dumbo as a kid, not really a book character but I did have a Disney book based on the film.

Rupert bear, my teddy as a child was Rupert!

For me it's Aslan from the Lion Witch and the wardrobe.

Dogtanian! He was a plucky pup, no mistake... Leaving his parents' home at such a young age to join up with the Muskehounds and protect the queen....aaaaah!!

What-a-mess by Frank Muir. I thought it was lovely that he thought his name was that, because it was the first thing anyone said when they saw him! Great, detailed illustrations too.

Another Tiger that came to Tea. Also loved Timmy from the Famous Five. I had forgotten about What-a-mess.
