Hi

Just finished this long awaited 3rd in trilogy (Driving over Lemons & A Parrot in a pepper tree), and would thoroughly recommend for anyone who likes the Living Abroad / Travel books.

Says on Back "Funnier than Bill Bryson". Well, it is very funny but in a gentle way, and very realistic.

Good bit of escapism, but gives the realistic side of Farming in Spain.

I was looking for another thread but also spotted this one! I've just read 'Almond Blossom' this week and enjoyed it a lot. It's not as funny as BB but it's not demanding and good to read if you want something light. I thought the Moroccan part was v interesting.

OOh I've got this in a box somewhere (moved 2 months ago and don't have any book shelves yet). had forgotten about it. Loved the first two - might have to dig through and find it.
