Have you read this book? or have any idea of the title or author?

Back in the mid 90's my dh read a book, it was a fiction book and all he remembers about it is that it was about a mirror, a huge mirror which was very old and it absorbed blood. One of the main characters was a girl in her teens/early 20's.

At the end of the book it said that the story was based on a real mirror which was kept in a church? somewhere and was always kept covered because it was evil.

So, any ideas? I'm posting this so late because he mentioned it to me as he can't remember the title or author and I've been searching for ages on the internet to try and find it. I read the book as well but can't remember anything more about it.

So mumsnetters over to you, any ideas?

We stopped over there in May 2005 on our way home from Oz (before we emigrated here, obviously) and it's a lovely city. Loved Sentosa.

I've read it and loved it though it was not the kind of thing I'd normally read- someone gave it to me. It's going to bug me now.....
