Has anyone read this?
On p73 and frankly overwhelmed by the pointless detail. I gather this is the first of the Vera books and she hasn't turned up yet.
It's one of those books that seems like it needed an editor to slash about half of it.
does it get better? Is it worth wading through the detail?
