I loved The Cazalets,
GoT, the Ruth Galloway series, bit of swedish crime stuff, teenagery witchy stuff, The century trilogy, the chronicles of st marys etc etc...

Anyway. I love finishing one and moving on to the next immediately.

Suggestions for a new lot please?

Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time is a favourite of mine. And should keep you busy for a while. I've recommended it to several people who say that they've enjoyed Game of Thrones.

You might like Mo Hayder and her Jack Caffrey series.

AnonymousBird · 16/11/2015 13:20

Try Jussi Adler-Olsen Department Q series. Brilliant scandi crime.

Philippa Gregory's Widacre trilogy. Brilliant.

Lucinda Riley's 'Seven sisters' is good and she's just released the second in the saga. She really captures you with her writing -she's only a recent find of mine and I can't get enough!

Susan Howatch, the Starbridge novels.

Haven't read it yet bit have just ordered the first of the Jane Smiley family saga (trilogy). I loved her earlier stuff so am hopeful.

The Poldark series, by Winston Graham. There are 11 or 12 books in the series.

BestIsWest · 19/11/2015 22:01

Vera or Shetland series by Anne Cleeves (if you like Ruth Galloway)

OH has just read those Best and says they are brilliant.

I would add The Lewis Trilogy by Peter May. Quite possibly the best detective novels I have ever read.

Allgunsblazing · 19/11/2015 22:56

Elena Ferrante: the neapolitan stories.

hagsrus0 · 20/11/2015 04:31

The Company series by Kage Baker

The Dalziel/Pascoe series by Reginald Hill

BestIsWest · 20/11/2015 05:54

YYto the Lewis Trilogy Bunbaker. They were excellent.

Bunbaker · 20/11/2015 06:57

I loved the Department Q series as well Anonymous. Jo Nesbo is another favourite.

SheGotAllDaMoves · 20/11/2015 07:04

The Jackson Brody series by Kate Atkinson.

Jack Mcafferty series by Mo Hayder ( her stand alone books are also excellent).

The Grant County series by Karin Slaughter.

Binxboosandme · 20/11/2015 07:29

Another vote for the Lewis trilogy. And the Shetland series by Anne Cleeves too. Both brilliant.

AnonymousBird · 20/11/2015 12:29

Lewis trilogy is very good, I'll add to the voices on that one.

Bunbaker · 20/11/2015 15:10

I am so happy to "meet" others who have enjoyed Peter May's writing.

FlysInDreams · 20/11/2015 21:15

The Deverry books by Katharine Kerr. Something like 15 in the series. Grin
