Just finished reading The Sleep Room by F.R. Tallis.
The ending of the book has left me completely confused. One minute he's visiting the burnt down hospital, and a paragraph later, he's having a dream where he's a patient in a coma or suchlike, and there's a letter at the end suggesting that the dead psychiatrist is actually alive and his doctor?
So... was the whole book some sort of dream sequence set some 20 years previous? Or is the patient at the end the main character's son? Maybe I'm being really slow today, but I'm just not getting it.
Anyone who's read this too and can cast some light on it for me?
