I meant to post this ages ago, but the ending is still bothering me. What the heck was the point of making it all into a dream FFS? That's for scary chapters in children's stories, not adult 'horror'. Hmmph.

It's been a few months since I read this anyway, but I remember being really confused by the whole 'roast mules' thing?

I didn't know there even was a sequel, but I must read it now and then come and rant with you about the poor ending!

re: "roast mules" - it doesn't make much sense, but it's an anagram for "somersault," and it's a reference to the loop Rosemary's now in - i.e. if she goes forwards as she did, she'll repeat her dream (giving birth to the Antichrist). So it's a warning, i think, that the dream was more of a prophecy. But it's not really that tense, because just don't move into that apartment block, Ro!
