the Charlie and Lola books are from thebookpeople.co.uk, I got mine today and they're fab! I also got the Winnie the Witch set and a cooking book by Jane Bull they're all great and only cost £23 for the lot! That's 11 books and 2 CD's btw.... For the 74 yr old have you seen the gorgeous books on the book people with really fab photography in? such as the coast book, there's one on animals, I've got 'Earth' and 'Human' which are nice to look at and dip into, also there's lots of 'questions you never thought of asking with surprising answer' type books for a couple of quid! I think I should get shares in the book people, what do you think?!

Have you tried any of The Magic School Bus Books - they are fantastic - scientific yet amusing. My two are completely sold on them and I've just received the Scholastic Set I ordered via school with a load of mini ones in that Santa's bringing for Christmas. Also fabulous the new DK books - Animals and Rainforest. Totally photographic record of the world at large.

I have mainly done children's books this time. So far I have got:

DS (5) - 8 Horrid Henry books (from a 10 pack but he already had two so I have recycled as classmate's b'day presents)
3 pack of factual books about bees, spiders etc (he said he wanted some "non-fiction" books)

DD (2) - 4 pack of fairy stories in a little case
4 classic story books (from 10 pack in thebookpeople)
Hairy McClary book
Princess and the Pea ladybird book

For DN (2) - 3 story books from the pack

For other DN(1) - 3 story books from pack and a hairy mclary book

For FIL - Terry Wogan Mustn't grumble

Am thinking about Dr Seuss and stocking filler lady bird book for DS

Also Peter Kay book for DH.
