Can anyone help me please? Its my book club turn next and my local library is unable to get the book I chose so have ordered In Cold Blood. They can only get 3/4 copies, I will buy one but need another three. If anyone can lend/sell me one I would be grateful, will pay the postage and return it to you. TIA x

Anyone with an iPhone or and iPad can get the kindle app for free.

So all of them can also get the book for free.

Really? Didn`t know that, thanks so much :)

Oh OP i noticed the suggestion last night and was just going to search out my copy. I'll stand down for now...

ImperialBlether · 02/09/2015 23:24

Yes but getting the app for free isn't the same as getting the book for free! On the Amazon site it says it's £5.98.

Would love to borrow your copy Doreen will pay all p&p and return.

Ok when I get back tonight I will try and remember to look it out...bump this for me after 7...first day back with new students today so might be a bit frazzled!

Second hand on Amazon ?

triplets · 03/09/2015 07:24

As is my choice I have purchased a secondhand one from Amazon which still cost me nearly £5, because we read approx 10 books a year some members cant afford to buy. I had originally ordered the new Harper Lee novel from the library but due to demand they couldn`t get 8 copies, so had to choose another title.

Try read it swap it website. You list books you want to swap and can request ones you want to read - once agreed all you pay is the cost of posting your book. I've used it for years and about 75% of the time I can pick up my book group titles there (as long as they're not too new/obscure). There are about 18 copies of In Cold Blood available to swap at the moment.

I may have it. I did at one point, but I haven't seen it for ages. I'll look when I get home, and if I have got a copy, you can have it to keep.

AgentProvocateur · 03/09/2015 20:35

Sorry - can't find my copy anywhere. I must have taken it to the charity shop at some point.

DuchessofMalfi · 04/09/2015 05:34

I'd offer my copy but it's so old, and bit battered now, the pages are falling out. Too fragile to post but I do think Hygge has a good alternative solution on the other thread.

Thank you everyone, and brilliant tip from girlonthelanding, will remember that for next time!
