there's been no release date announced but retailers have been saying it will be in 2007 sometime

I have July 7th in my diary as the release date - 7/7/07, quite neat

It was originally said to be 7/7/7 to tie in with the 7 as a magic no. theory .
The next film is out 13/7/7 so whether the book will come first or whether they will try to space them

books isn't even finished yet is it? How long does editing,rewrites,tweaking take?
