Joanne Harris "Gentlemen and Players" - the best book I've read this year.

She can do no wrong IMO. I thought Holy Fools would have been tough to beat but G&P just blew me away - what a fantastic twist, great ending. I hope she's working on something at present.

Anyone read her book of short stories?

I've got it but haven't started reading yet, will do now, sounds good.

I second that - I finished it at the weekend and it's great

Read it in the summer hols - till 3am in the morning. Very gripping, very clever, beautifully observed.

Another thumbs up for gentlemen and players - brillant twist and very funny in parts.

Excellent book, loved it. One of those that when you know the ending you have to read it again with that in mind.

multitasker - her book of short stories is good. not great, but good. worth reading though - like all her stuff!
