HELP- That Ukrainian tractors book ....

Desperately need a summary - book club meets wednesday and yet again I haven't finished the book. Can't seem to read anything since dd born - just fall asleep. But this was my selection so need something intelligent to say about it!!! HELP!

And I can spell Ukranian!

I really enjoyed it. Thought it was a great insight into how the children of immigrants to the UK become British in their outlook very quickly, whereas their parents still feel foreign.
There was great humour but poignancy too. You wanted to see the father's blonde tart as the baddy, but she was struggling too.
Thought the character devlopment was good & done with sympathy.
