Gripping read, set on an exotic island, very atmospheric of sun and palm trees and sailing - After the Storm

I'm a big fan of Emily Barr. She's intelligent chick-lit meets psychological thriller with a travel writing twist!

I've got Mr Mac and Me by Esther Freud lined up to take with me on holiday. The Miniaturist was a good, engrossing story, enjoyable. I like a good thriller. If you do and haven't read The Cuckoo ' s Calling and The Silkworm both by Robert Galbraith aka J K Rowling then I recommend them.
