Haven't seen anything on here - I've just googled her and she sadly died of breast cancer on 24th May. What a dreadful loss of an incomparably talented writer.
I'm grateful to have been able to read many of her stories, but mostly the novels White As Snow, Heart-Beast, Louisa The Poisoner and A Heroine Of The World and her incomparable short stories, especially I Bring You Forever, Bite-Me-Not, Doll Skulls, Death Loves Me, The Lady Of Shallott House and The Pale Girl, The Dark Mage And The Sea.
What with Terry Pratchett as well, this is an awful year for losing wonderful authors :(.
