Mistral's Daughter - Judith Krantz. Lots of interesting stuff about 1920s artists in Paris and modelling in the 1950s and 1970s, bit of a guilty pleasure Smile

Yes YES! LOVE Mistral's Daughter - definitely a guilty pleasure along with The Thornbirds

Ohyes! Thank you!!

It just came to me in the bath and I could remember certain scenes, wiping her eyebrows off, painted as fruit on a platter as a party (that must have worked well Hmm), one of them jumping off a yacht and dying?

I LOVED the TV series! Didn't he bed three generations of women from the same family? Dirty codger.

Mistral's Daughter.

Formed part of the 'bonkbuster' era - banned by parents, single copies circulated by friends along with Princess Daisy, Riders et al.

He gets off with Maggy and then 20-odd years later also shags her daughter Teddy (not his daughter Shock) then he and Teddy have a daughter called Fauve, so only two generations of bonking Grin
