I am reading this book here www.amazon.co.uk/Jeremy-Hutchinsons-Case-Histories-Chatterleys/dp/1444799738/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434308533&sr=8-1&keywords=hutchinson
about court cases and Fanny Hill came up in one chapter. I thought, I will see what it's like.

If I read about one more huge sword, i might have had to fan myself...
its amazingly graphic

Oh yes Grin I found my father's secret copy when I was 16. I was like this Shock Blush

I was slightly disappointed in later life to find that male genitalia didn't really resemble a treasurehouse of precious jewels Hmm

I read when I was a teenager and loved it! I re read later and realised it was about a girl sold into sex slavery! It is worth reading if only to expose how appallingly shite Fifty Shades is!

TealFanClub · 14/06/2015 22:38

but as the trial about it maintained it was for the first time ever an account of a woman enjoying sex.. maube thats what worried people

I am struggling to see how GetHappy's suggestion fits in here. I don't remember any penises or sex in that.

Zakken · 14/06/2015 22:54

Must have been doggy-style Grin

I read it years ago, it was filth. It had an alternative name along the lines of "Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure", author John McClelland? Remained in my memory bank for some reason....Grin

Have a look at Fanny by Erica Jong - feminist rewrite of several 18th c classics.

hackmum · 15/06/2015 08:27

I read it years ago too. Can't remember much now, but think I enjoyed it. Also read Erica Jong's Fanny (snort), as mentioned by the Countess.

Had to read this for my degree - my housemates used to pass it around. My lecturer was a bit of a Mr Darcy lookalike too! Grin loved that module!

I'm finding it hard to imagine a cut-down version of Fanny Hill. Surely it would be about 5 pages long?

This. There's practically nothing in it but graphic sex scenes.

If you fancy a giggle, try Frodo Hill: Memoirs of a Hobbit of Pleasure
