Name of this book?!

Set in Scotland, the girlfriend finds her boyfriend dead but takes the manuscript for his novel and passes it off as her own.

I read this years ago, I can't remember if I enjoyed it or not but always think back to it. Can't remember the name or much else, I think the second half was a bit pants and set in Greece or Spain
