Has anyone read this Pulitzer Prize winner by Anthony Doerr? I loved this book. It is a great story, brilliantly written. Loved it so much that I went straight out to Waterstones to buy his earlier novel "About Grace". Was told it was out of print but they could order another copy from the printers but this would take time. However, downloaded it from I Books. Looking forward to it.

So pleased you enjoyed it Wips. I got that I didn't want it to finish. I will read this again. Left me a little bereft and had trouble filling the void. As said before have downloaded About Grace and just beginning it. In between I read A Family Life which was compulsive although a difficult subject. On finishing that I have just arranged to pick up The Obedient Father (same author) but now reading reviews wonder how that will work out! Have you read either of those?

In two posts I posted in the following thread (with similar title as yours):

Just read your input. That is a terrific, wonderfully described. It is great to share the delight of this book. It is a book you could use in a literary study. It is has so many underlying layers to discover and yet the surface story is thoroughly gripping and entertaining. The author is young and obviously has so much more to offer. This work was a joy which sounds strange considering its subject. Thank you for the links.
