Really loving this book but am a bit confused about Haresh. His parents and brothers come to the wedding and also his foster family (who were talked about in earlier chapters), but I seem to have missed a bit (if it exists) that explains why he has a foster family and why he is not close to his family. No one seems to discuss his background beyond being sniffy about his cobbler trade.
I have the book on an old Kindle, so it's hard to search for this and can't seem to find out much on the web beyond what I already know.
