Thanks, I bought it but haven't read it yet. I was interested in the way the author came to the story.

ElizabethHoover · 25/04/2015 13:25

OP posts:
DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/04/2015 21:59

In what way funny?

IrenetheQuaint · 29/04/2015 22:01

Is it not totally bloody horrible though?

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 20/07/2015 18:48

nope - ( tis I the OP)
its GREAT, not too much specific about abuse ( that would be weird)but so interesting how he groomed everyone and about his early years as a miner and DJ - and how much mystery and myth he bullt up about himself

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 20/07/2015 18:49

I see i mentioned it being funny

I think i was half through a post saying 'funny how he'... ( god knows what, managed to get away with it)

Obv not funny

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 20/07/2015 18:50

oh i know - funny how the author came to the story - he jus thought JS was bloody weird, not like the rest of us

SaggyAndLucy · 20/07/2015 19:11

Really? You don't think this thread is a touch... crass?

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 20/07/2015 19:21

you need to read the book.
it reveals a SCANDAL about abuse.

and its a very very interesting read

SaggyAndLucy · 20/07/2015 19:26

I think not.

IHaveBrilloHair · 20/07/2015 19:27

What a strange zombie thread, why are you bumping this?
If you accidentally said it was funny, why wait three months to say soConfused

SaggyAndLucy · 20/07/2015 19:34

I fail to see how a book about a peadophile could possibly be funny!

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 20/07/2015 22:08

Read the thread. I had a name changed in between. I saw with horror that I had said it was funny. I could not remember what o was svtuslly meaning to say.. And I realised that it was a badly typed post saying it was funny how the author started the book. I've corrected myself several times -read the thread

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 20/07/2015 22:08

It obviously isn't funny that children are abused figs.

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 20/07/2015 22:09

Fgs

IHaveBrilloHair · 20/07/2015 22:31

Yes, but it took you three months to say that, and even now you aren't posting coherently on such a sensitive subject.
Do you not use MN much?

GallopingFoxley · 20/07/2015 22:43

I am HOWLING at 'do you not use mumsnet much?

Fucking brilliant. Not that that will mean a whole lot to you Brillo but it's safe to say that the OP uses MN a fair bit Wink

SaggyAndLucy · 21/07/2015 00:00

This thread is weird. And totally crass. You posted strangely in the first place and then came back weeks later for another go. Give it up and move on!

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 21/07/2015 00:59

I didn't have my glasses on. Can't bloody see. Grin

MaryBerrysEyelashes · 21/07/2015 01:00

I can't back to look at books I liked. See if anyone had read them. I often do this on this section.

Didn't realise that was a problem !
