The shortlist was announced today.

I loved Americanah and The Narrow Road to the Deep North and don't envy the judges. I hadn't heard of Sparta but it looks promising.

Both Harvest and Americanah - I couldn't get on with....

Harvest and Burial Rites were just incredible. It's a strong list.
