Having never read any Terry Pratchett before, all the publicity around his death inspired me to read a couple. Someone on here (thanks to whoever it was) suggested starting with Guards! Guards! and reading the Watch sequence

I have binge read all the way through to Thud! and am now feeling a bit bereft ..

Which sequence would be best to continue with?

I would just go to the start of the whole series and read it in order. I wish I had done that, but I was a student at the time and had to read the books from the library, so could only read what was available.

I'd always recommend reading them all in order! Love the Discword series Smile

Witches - in order! Guards are my favourite, but Witches give a different side as not to Ankh-Morpork based :)

Whoa, hold your horses! There's another Guards book after that called Snuff, one of the best IMO. Read that one before moving onto the next ones Smile

I'd start with the Witches next - Wyrd Sisters, Witches Abroad, Carpe Jugulum etc etc. (can't remember the exact order but its online somewhere)

The colour of magic was on sky yesterday and today. Four hours of David Jason as Rincewind.

I like the death books like Mort. I love that character and the witches too.

I'm just reading a non-discworld story - Dodger, it shows a different side to his writing. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.

I always thought Michael Palin would make a better Rincewind than David Jason.
