Is it worth reading gone girl if I've seen the film?

Just that really, enjoyed the film and have recently quite liked the girl on the train. Is it worth reading even knowing the end? Or recommendations welcome.

Yes. Book is better, as always. Although you know the ending now Hmm

Yes, I'm a bit annoyed with myself on this. I always, always read the book first just fancied the film before I got round to it. Oh well, I'm so impatient that I may take more of it in knowing the end!

I found the 'twist' really predictable but still quite enjoyed the book, so don't think it will completely ruin it for you

It's worth reading as there's a lot more in the book than the movie, although you do know the ending now.

I much preferred the book too, the characters are 'fleshed out' a lot more than its possible to do in a film. I found Amy fascinating in the book, but in the film she seemed a lot more crazy and a lot less likeable because you didn't get to 'know' her first.
