The bone clocks

I'm listening to this via audible after I saw it on offer, I can't decide wether I'm enjoying it or wether to persevere, I am finding it hard to engage!

Any other audible recommendations are welcome too

Not read or listened to the Bone Clocks but can I recommend The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. I have listened and read and just started listening again as I love it. The guy reading it is brilliant one of the best audio books I have listened to.

fred - if you scroll back a bit through Adult Fiction you'll find a thread about audiobook recommendations. Can't do links on my phone but hope you find it because there's loads of great suggestions on there.

In addition, I listened to and loved The Book of Strange New Things by Michel Faber recently. And also History of the Rain by Niall Williams, which was also great.

Currently listening to A Room With A View by E M Forster. It's wonderful.

I enjoyed The Bone Clocks hugely, but Mitchell is one of my favourite authors. I'd say stick with it!

Recent audio I enjoyed were the 2Robert Galbraith/JK Rowling mysteries.

I really disliked the first few chapters but it really grew on me - it was bonkers but did have some really fabulous passages.

You'll find lots of recommendations on the 50 books per year threads but I'd class the following as some if my favourites:

The Woodcutter by Reginald Hill
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
The Paying Guests by Sarah Waters
The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Also Mr Mercedes and The Shining by Stephen King were pretty good if you're a fan of that genre.
