Oh dear - circumstances around Harper Lee's new book are looking very murky

There are hints she has been exploited/abused and police are investigating story here. Morally, where does that leave fans like me who want to buy it?

It's worrying. Hope she is ok. Morally, not sure about the book. I think if she had wanted it published she would have done so a long time ago. If all is proved to be completely above board, then I would like to read it, but until that point I'm saying no.

I thought it was odd that it was suddenly being published when she had refused for so long. I can't comment one way or another whether she has genuinely been exploited but, as I understand it, it wouldn't be the first time that such accusations have been made.

Yes, definitely sounding odd now. Very sad.
