Do you ever order a book from another country because you prefer the cover?

I feel so shallow but I have done this three times (Sweetland, American Wife and Nobody Is Ever Missing) and would do it more often if my budget would stretch! I just often prefer the American cover designs.

Anyone else?

I have. I bought a copy of "A walk with Jane Austen" from US (I think) because I HATE the bright pink wellies on the front of the UK one. However, everyone else wanted the copy with the bright pink wellies and did the opposite!!

I was certainly tempted by the American (Red) cover of Tigers in Red Weather by Liza Klaussman, but the British one (yellow) was lovely too (and Picador Books gave us an interview about the cover for this book which might be of interest www.tripfiction.com/novel-set-in-marthas-vineyard-usa-yellow-book-yellow-woman/ )

No, but I once went to a lot of trouble to find a book that did NOT have a picture from the movie on the cover.
