Hello kind people, thanks for reading. A few years ago I read the first published work of an elderly woman. It described her marriage to a man who was fairly obviously on the autistic spectrum, but they married during WW2 (he acted very strangely on their wedding night), so obviously not diagnosed. They lived mainly in Devon and had one daughter. I've posted in Adult Fiction, despite this being an autobiography, because I feel MNers who read novels may well have read it. Unlike me, you may well remember the title and author's name!

Sorry, I've no idea, but it sounds fascinating. Marking my place!

Have you tried the book search page on abebooks.co.uk - there's not much that those readers can't help with!
They like you to include the synopsis in the title. Have a look to see what I mean.

It's called BookSleuth, not book search. Sorry. Anyway, good luck.

Thanks for your replies - and it was, indeed, fascinating SameThing. I hoped that, even if no-one knew of the book, they'd direct me to some such resource, so really grateful to you and I'm off there now. I'll come back and let you know how I get on!

Hi if you don't have any luck there is a specialist uk book publisher that focuses on books with an autism theme. It's called Jessica something and one of their editors will be sure to have heard of it. Hope this helps.
