Terry Brooks Shannara?

My DDads just passed along his current favourite books to me - he's read them all in publication order and in chronological order. He's advised I read The Heritage of Shannara first so I've just started The Scions of Shannara and I'm about 60 pages in and liking it so far.

Anyone else read it? I know its just been picked up as a TV show.

There are quite a few of them aren't there? I read them years ago and I remember enjoying them. The first Terry Brooks books I read.

Led me to my favourite one : "Magic Kingdom for sale! Sold" - loved it!! Just discovered my first edition is worth quite a bit (not that if ever part with it!)

Remember enjoying these years ago, I know there are loads of them now, should re-read.
I remember the Sword of Shannara, then the Elfstone, but then get a bit hazy

I read these off my dad to when I was about 14 and then a couple of years ago took them out of the library and devoured them. Lovely reads all of them.
