Coastliners - how does it end?

Bought this to read on holiday. It's an okay read (very Joanne Harris-y) but a printing error meant that there was no end! The last few pages repeated the beginning which was very frustrating. Has anyone read it can tell me what happens?
I'd be very grateful!
