Does anyone remember a children's book around in the 60s/70s that was called something like 'The Snowdroppers', and was about somebody stealing the clothes off of washing lines? I'm not totally sure of the title and can't remember the author, and am fed up with people looking at me as if I'm crazy when I talk about it!

There is a book called The Snowdroppers by Tony Scanlon - but I don't know if it is the one you are looking for. I am on a hunt for a kids book called Tailor Green that I can't find anywhere - it's about a tailor that makes clothes to look like flowers - I'm beginning to think I dreamt it !

Mine is even stranger. It was about someone who contaminated milk bottles before the milkman delivered them. Once there was a finger in one bottle.

Laidback,

Do you mean Tailor Green and the Grand Collection? It's available from www.abebooks.co.uk. I don't know the book, just thought I would look it up for you as I sometimes use the abebooks site for things that are difficult to get hold of!

hope it's the one...

Laidback is right, it is the book by Tony Scanlon you're looking for. Seems very very difficult (if not impossible) to get hold of.
