The Taxidermist's Daughter by Kate Mosse - anyone read it?

I read this in an one-er today, but I have a burning question Can anyone help me out?

Thank you - I've re-read bits and answered it. It was, "Who was Crowther?" Did you enjoy it? It's the first one of hers I've read and enjoyed.

It was ok, I found all the similarities in names a bit hard to follow and there didn't seem to be much in the way of characterisation between the male characters - but it was a good concept

Enjoyed it but found the ending a bit twee.
