Pearl S Buck, recommendations?

Hi there

I'm attempting to get back into reading again as a way to relax and unwind. I recently discovered Pearl S Buck and enjoyed Pavillion of Women very much.

Can anybody tell me whether they would recommend buying the trilogy starting with The Good Earth? Or any others?

I had never heard of the author and found her real life story fascinating too.

The mother is one of the best stories Ive read. It really takes you into the time the story was set in and really felt I understood their way of life. Wonderful book.

I've just nosed at it on Amazon and it looks perfect, going to buy it next. I liked one of the reviews which suggested that any mums feeling 'put upon' should read it to realise that their lot in life is not too bad. Sounds like a good lesson for me!
