Just realised that I have to choose the next book for my book club and I've got brain-block. We read a variety of fiction - nothing too heavy though. Any good, maybe unexpected, ideas?

Sarah Waters - The Paying Guests is amazing, but it's quite new so not sure if the paperback is out. If not, do another Sarah Waters Wink

The Bone Clocks, David Mitchell.

Do you want a paperback? There have been a lot of interesting new releases recently. I would recommend Nina Stibbe's book Man at the Helm as a nice book club read but doubt if it's out in paperback yet.

I also think We are all completely beside ourselves by Karen Joy Fowler would be an interesting one to discuss, though it's had a very mixed reception on here!

Thanks all. I had already read lots of the suggestions so you were on the right lines. In the end I chose We are all completely beside ourselves by Karen Joy Fowler.

Was coming on to suggest The Undertaking, but see you have already chosen. Good choice :)
