Have you read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon ? like Tracey Chevalier in that they give a great sense the way people lived back in history, but there's a bit of a supernatural element (time travel)

I'm sure you would enjoy Eyam by Geraldine Brooks, a fictionalised version of the events which took place in the Derbyshire village during the Plague.

And The Mysteries of Glass by Sue Gee is a lovely read. The story of a young curate in 1860 and who he falls in love with, and the problems that causes.

check out Sadie Jones, a friend put me on to her and I am lapping up her books - they are all concerned with quite different subjects, but they have that lightness of touch and convincing sense of historical time and place that TC does so well.
