I HATED The Magpies and his new one Because She Loves Me. Awful characterisation, cringey sex scenes, just poor writing IMHO. Given the overwhelmingly positive reviews I was surprised at how bad they were.

Mark Edwards tells a really good story IMO, not literary master pieces granted, but real page turners and I love a good story

comfy I'm not actually sure. I think it was because he said in the afterword that the outcome of the neighbour thing was in the next book and I thought I'd give it the benefit of the doubt. Turns out I shouldn't have!
