LOST SERIES dvd, is it based on a book? or anyone recommend a book?

My son (15 yrs) needs to take in a reading book to school and has suggest a book like the lost series, any suggestions? Thanks

Never saw it, but was it the series where people where marooned on a desert island? If so, try Lord of the Flies by William Golding, or maybe a classic like Robinson Crusoe? Must be more than that, but that's off the top of my head

I think that Dean Koontz may have written a book about a plane crashing on a desert island...was a long time ago I read it though so I might be wrong.

Apparently an episode of.Lost (featuring Desmond, lots of time travel IIRC) was based on Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut.
