I've just finished "The Way You Look Tonight" by Richard Madeley and it is actually OK. Accept it as airport fodder and you will not be disappointed. I've read far worse.

Off to find a meaty tome to redeem myself. Grin

Every atom of my being is screaming 'Noooooooooo!'

Mental note to avoid iseenodust's book recommendations. ;)

Should have gone for a name change ?

It's not even ok; it's bloody awful.

In defence of my opinion, the previous read was all 800 pages of The Luminaires. Anything after that was going to seem like light relief.

I'm being mean. I have absolutely no idea. Richard Madeley might be an amazing author for all I know. But I don't think I'd be able to bring myself to read anything he wrote.

daisygatsby · 30/09/2014 12:04

I heard that his stuff is much better than Judy's effort , which surprised me. Still couldnt bring myself to read it though Smile

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 04/10/2014 18:46

It can't be worse than his wife's atrocious attempt at a book!

Funnily enough it came through cheap on my book bub email yesterday I'll order it

HappydaysArehere · 07/10/2014 21:04

A friend gave it to me. Must admit I had trouble looking pleased. She doesn't want it back and it is sitting between Longbourne and Half of a Yellow Sun etc. Haven't felt in the least inclined to read it yet feel I should. Just deliberating but have got so many books I am looking forward to.

AmeliaPeabody · 08/10/2014 02:16

Richard Madeley is now a published author Hmm

AmeliaPeabody · 08/10/2014 02:16

And Judy too! Dear me.

DameEdnasBridesmaid · 08/10/2014 07:23

Never mind the author, the title us a shocker and would put me off and that's coming from someone who once read a book with tea shop in the title the shame

iseenodust · 08/10/2014 10:47

Safe to come out yet ? Grin

Ha ha might try it now! Saw it in the charity shop yesterday.

Floggingmolly · 08/10/2014 12:17

I somehow doubt he wrote it all by himself... Do any of them?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 08/10/2014 12:23

Judy definitely did. You can tell.
