Carbogravures???

Found a book whilst cleaning out spider infested shed (ugh!) titled 'Beautiful North Wales ; 50 Carbogravures with descriptive notes.' It has a foreword by Clement K Shorter and seems to be postcards stuck in with fairly basic info about beautiful Northern Welsh hotspots. Just curious to know if anyone knows anything about such books beyond the basic Google info as have little idea where/when/how it ended up in shed (other than that I am a hoarder descended from a long line of similar collectors!). The Photocrom Co were operating between the mid 1890s and 1945. The type of reproductive print which added colour to photos was very popular between the late 19th century and the 1920s...here is a link with some of their other creations They did not only guide books but collectable postcards.
