I read a lot, and so I read a lot of duds mixed in with the good stuff. But since mid July EVERY book has been a winner and enjoyable.

Ace, king, knave by Maria McCann - brilliant gritty histfic, don't know why this author is not more popular on MN
Longbourn, Jo Baker
The Dinner by Herman Koch
The Marriage of Chani Kaufman by can't remember but v good
Mad about the boy, Helen Fielding
Maddadam by Atwood
The Girl with all the Gifts which I LOVED
The Deaths by Mark Lawson
Just After Sunset by Stephen King which was a treat as I got it our the library thinking I'd already read it and I hadn't!

I now remember I did read Eeny Meeny which was total shit but let's forget that.

Are you having a good run?

Have read a few of those too. May check out the rest later.

I loved maddaddam. Have read some corkers recently but that was my favourite - even when I grab chick lit expecting it to be awful I keep getting gems.
