It seems to have dropped in price quite a lot in the past day or two I think.

So I bought it this morning and so far, so very good.

I've been really enjoying it.

The writing is excellent, IMO anyway. The main character, Maud, has dementia and is confused and forgetful, but the way this is shown in the book is fantastically well done, especially as the book is written in her voice. It's seamlessly written, the way she can start to do one thing and end up doing another as she just can't remember, but she has this quiet determination about her that just won't be ignored all the same.

I've just finished it, and I'm crying! Brilliant book, thank you so much for recommending it.

It was really good, I felt so sad for poor Maud. Everything she wanted to say got ignored because of her dementia, even when she was making perfect sense. Was a wonderful book.

I interviewed Emma Healey a few months ago here and am really pleased to hear that they are filming it as a three part TV series.

She was a joy to talk with and interview.
