Are these not in print anymore? I have just looked them up on Amazon and can only find a few titles (I am sure there was a long series of them when I was a child) from private sellers.

Am sniggering at being "gently whiskered" btw...alas am short and dumpy but i do have a very big nose...do i look worried...hmmm...

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 01/10/2006 20:46

have just searched snorkmaiden to see if any posts.

none

I think we should put out a call for snorkmaiden to return her name to the public domain (can you do that? I suspect MNT can)

or you can just carry on being norkmaiden, Sancerre

norkmaiden · 01/10/2006 20:59

hmmm, well I'd definitely have had snorkmaiden if available...I've also bagged snork though too I doubt MN towers would let me have SM.

norkmaiden is quite, well, MN I spose - is that why the sceptical face FJ?!

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 02/10/2006 07:45

oh yes, i thought norkmaiden was you there

TooTicky · 02/10/2006 14:07

Filly, do you havepumpkinsalready? Did you grow your own? I'm eagerly awaiting my Riverfordsquash box....

At the gym? I prefer real exercise (speaking as one who walkedup to 5 milesper day right through 4th pregnancy) [horribly smug emoticon]

(gymsterrify me - all those earnest, immaculately attired sweaty people!)

TooTickyTheAppleMuncher · 02/10/2006 17:41

Went past the shop that sells Moomin things in Batyh the other day - they had some beautiful mugs - even one with The Ancestor on - but very expensive (will get dp to make one for me )

TooTickyTheAppleMuncher · 02/10/2006 17:42

TooTickyTheAppleMuncher · 02/10/2006 17:42

nah, the gym is fabulous. I've had 2 pregnancies worth of walking, gardening, you name it...I used to run up the mountains in Edinburgh (though not when pg, I must admit...but I did walk work and back which was eight miles round trip, ner.

Am getting old. At the gym, I get to do an half hour of hardcore running, cycling etc and then half an hour of swimming and then I have a decent (and fairtrade, incidentally) coffee and a read of the paper-and all of this on my own, btw-and not once not once do I get dripping wet. Oh its fabulous. I am too freaking old for running through the wind and rain every night. I love my gym so much. And while I run I can listen to music without it being drowned out by the stench of traffic. And no one tries to splash me in their cars.

so ner

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 02/10/2006 17:45

hmmm

i have lots of pumpkins

and not all of them are from Riverford, either

TooTickyTheAppleMuncher · 02/10/2006 17:47

I don't live that near...£6 return on the bus I'll have thee know - and it's not a shop I dare go into with little people in tow

DumbledoresGirl · 02/10/2006 17:51

Any chance of getting back to the original point of this thread which was for me to acquire Moomn books for my ds? Glassofwine was going to offer me some, where are you?

Oh and BTW TT, I put a cheque in the post for you today. (for the trainers).

WHAT????

You don't walk?

I mean, I know you have 4 kids but couldn't you carry them or something? I'm sure at least 2 will fit in that sling? (and if not...well then, you clearly need an Ergo )

I must find an excuse to come to bath and check out this shop...

TooTickyTheAppleMuncher · 02/10/2006 21:15

(Sorry DG!)
Filly, it's just not worth walking anything less than 15 miles (Actually, I can comfortably carry the bus in my sling - handy when it breaks down )
Let me know when you're coming to Bath and I may join you for a moomin-inspired drool.

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 02/10/2006 22:30

just let me get them walking shoes on...ah, Cardiff to Bath, all in a days hardcore exercise...

I'll have my new sling by then of course...
