Is anyone reading this? A lady at Waterstones said it was the best book she'd ever read! It's very different from anything I'd normally read - it's categorised as nature writing/biography - but I'm finding it hard to put down!

Author (MacDonald?) was interviewed on World Service only Friday night, worth listening again if you can find it. It's non-fiction story, though, I have to point out. Is it a very sad read?

Yes, Helen MacDonald. Thanks, I'll look for that.

It isn't sad so far, I'm halfway through. It's like nothing I've ever read before but quite captivating.

Ooh, that looks fascinating! On my wish list, thanks for the tip, sounds like my kind of book.

This caught my eye in our local bookshop today, funnily enough. I've always been fascinated by falconry and birds of prey. I shall add it to my list immediately Smile.

I bought this for my dad for his birthday in June. Because I wanted to read it. Obviously.

I loved this. I adored The Once & Future King as a child so it was fascinating to learn a bit more about TH White and what a total screwball he was.
