When Hector receives an inheritance, his daydreams become a reality - but this impulsive boy causes more damage and destruction than the assassins that now pursue him, and his annoying sister often turns out to be the hero.

Packed with accident and adventure, this hilarious story about a schoolboy who daydreams of aerial dogfights and tank battles is great for pre-teens and teenagers.

We've got 50 copies of Paul Booth's action-packed story to give away this week. Click here to find out more and apply for a free copy.

This is an exciting adventure book, enjoyed by children with a great sense of humour! We loved it. We enjoyed Hector's escapades, and were especially fond of Mrs Warp and naughty Bandit! Unfortunately, there are some spelling and typing errors, which will no doubt be sorted soon (no capital A in Africa, for example). I will be recommending this book to my friends and we look forward to reading Book Two - Hector Trogg: Fell Heights.

We found this book throughly enjoyable! We found this book equally funny as well as scary. We learnt that even thugs cant beat the cleverly organized mind. Well done...a fantastic read . look forward to book two.

We enjoyed Hector Trogg's Perfect World once we had a chance to get into it, as it is a lot longer than usual books for the age range. It was handy having the audio CD too, as we could recap on what we had read the night before.

It is far fetched, a similar genre to the likes of Artemis Fowl, which we enjoyed, and it's great that it stretches the imagination and takes us away from the hassles of the day.
There is plenty of humour and action and generally the book ran along well, although there were a few slower bits.

What a crazy boy, as a character Hector was entertaining, and provided my lads with a lot of fun, even if it was frightening too, though I found the age classification difficult. I found that they preferred my reading it to them, and yet the teenager wouldn't read it as he found it childish. But I hope it hasn't given them any ideas as he'd be a monster to have around in real life. Overall, an interesting read and thoroughly worthwhile.

We started this book with some excitement but Im afraid we did loose interest after the first chapter or too. Im afraid I just found it silly - not funny silly - just juvenile silly I suppose - perhaps that was the point!
