Lin Anderson, Rhona Macleod series

I really love this author but rarely find other readers who have heard of her or have read her books. I was working in a bookshop in 2006/7 when I stumbled on her first book Driftnet and have been hooked ever since. Her books are set in Glasgow and centre around forensic expert Rhona Macleod. I believe there has been such a wait for her most recent instalment as ITV have picked up the series and she has been working the adaptation of that.

Any other fans?

I've never heard of her but will give books a try, I'm always looking for something new to read

Yes, RAG, I have read and liked the series - and await the next with a certain anticipation. TBF I think her earlier ones were better; later ones feel a little 'formulaic' but I do like them nonetheless. They are set in places I know well - Glasgow and Skye mostly. And one in Edinburgh? (I am considering re-reading the ones I've still got - part of a pre-cull catch up). And one book had Nigeria as a background and I lived there as a child. She is from the same town as my mum too. So we are lamost sisters. SmileI have been to two talks by Lin A. I liked her.

I hope you enjoy the ovary.

Nice to find another fan basketz, sorry for slow reply, have been moving house and will be without internet for another week. Sob!

I've seen her a couple of times at the Edinburgh book festival. Really enjoyed her talks. I think it was the second book, Torch that was set in Edinburgh and I thought the book set in Africa was one of her best. Enjoy re-reading!
