I bought this on a mumsnetters recommendation and now my almost 11 year old daughter wants to read it. I am known for being over protective so would appreciate some advice as to whether it is suitable. DD is very sensible and reads a lot but she is still only 10 and I don't want her reading stuff she doesn't need to know yet. I want to get the balance between letting her have a carefree childhood as much as possible without leaving her unprepared if anything happens

I am not even sure what is concerning me about the book now I just know when I was reading it I felt too soon.
