Can someone explain the ending of 'Wounding' to me please?

I've just finished reading 'Wounding' by Heidi James. Still not completely sure what I thought of it to be honest, although I read it very quickly. Some parts I could identify with although not the more extreme stuff.

I didn't like her DH, how could he not notice what was really going on?

I didn't quite get the ending though, is it meant to imply that she stepped in front of a car? Hmm

I am still yet to work out what happened at the end as well.

You are not alone.

Thanks Edge, I'm glad I'm not the only one! At the very beginning she's wrapped in bandages & clearly in hospital so I assumed the whole way through that something awful was going to happen. I just can't work out what actually happened.

The ending really took me by surprise, especially as when she was in the waiting room towards the end I was really hopeful that she'd finally reached out for help.

It's quite an unsettling book to read I thought, especially if you have a young child.

oh yes thanks for that I forgot about the beginning and assumed she'd killed herself
