Where do people come from?

asked my 2.9 yr old DS. I dont know why but I expected this question to come much later so haveny really given it much thought. It was quickly followed by 'where do trees come from?' so I just answered that one.

Im all for telling the truth and not telling him that he came out of an apple pie (like my gran told my mum). So, does anyone know of a good book to back up my theory.

'From mummy's tummy' is truthful and will probably satisty him for now.

So easy to tell the truth but keep the innocence for all sorts of things I've discovered.

I was waiting for all the questions from mine with trepidation. I imagined they would want a deep discussion about each part but a simple truthful sentence has always satisfied them.

Have never worried about a book for this sort of thing, I've found it's one of the things I can cope with myself. Am sure there are lots out there though that some can recommend.

Yes, that is what I am going to say, but he does love books and I just thought he would be interested.

I think he's a bit young for a book about it though.

Get another Bob the Builder one instead. Diggers will be more interesting for him than body parts!!

So is there really nothing suitable for his age?
